Scrap the "Nuance"
Regarding the authoritarian enterprises we are -- in one way or another -- at war with (i.e. The Taliban, Al Qaeda, numerous Islamo-fascist factions, and, of course, garden variety totalitarian ideologues), I think the Obam-aologies and self-effacing (in Obama's case it's always country-effacing, not personal humility) are getting a little old.
Although it's not "nuanced" or intellectually appealing, I think something on the order of, "No more Mr. Nice Guy" would be a more honest and effective strategy when dealing with the world's dictatorship scum.
